The sink in my bathroom has been running lately.  It was making me nervous because I was imagining how high my water bill would be.  I wondered how long it would take for that sink to have something go wrong with it.  It looked like it had been purchased in the 1930s or something.  I had to call out a plumber.  I didn’t have the extra money to pay a plumber but I had to have this problem fixed.  He came out to fix it and there were more problems that I thought.  It turns out that my water heater was depositing some sort of plastic crap that was building up in the faucet.  He said he would have to fix the water heater also or this would keep causing the sink to drip.  I had a bad feeling about how much this would cost me.  He gave me the bill and it was $400.  I put in on my credit card but knew I wouldn’t be able to pay it.

My family and I were out at The Old Warsaw Restaurant when I noticed how sick Davis looked. Davis is normally a bright and happy little eight year old so seeing him pale staring down his drink was disturbing. He didn’t look alright. We hadn’t even gotten our food yet. I asked him if everything was alright and he just shook his head no. clearly things weren’t alright which is why we left in such a rush.

I took Davis down to Parkland Hospital’s emergency room right away. On the ride over he looked like he was ready to pass out. I left my husband with our daughter Janie. When we got to the hospital they took him right away. The doctor could tell there was something drastically wrong with him so they CAT scanned him. He had to get his appendix removed.

My insurance refused to pay. they said since I was the one who authorized the operation, I was held accountable for the payment. This was ridiculous but what could I do. I didn’t have to worry about Davis’ follow up visit.

Davis is doing fine now. He’s back to normal and we are going to The Old Warsaw restaurant again very soon.
